Fall Guys has been downloaded 7m times on Steam

Mediatonic's hit Fall Guys has sold more than seven million copies on Steam.

That's according to the developer, who revealed the milestone on Twitter (below), alongside the fact that it is the most-downloaded PlayStation Plus game yet. The title was given away for free on Sony Interactive Entertainment's platform for the month of August.

This is likely also publisher Devolver Digital's fastest-selling title to date, too. Fall Guys only cost $15.99, but likely made more money in its first three weeks than its other top successes to date. Back in 2017, fighting game Absolver became the label's biggest launch to date, selling 250,000 copies in its first few weeks in the wild. Survival title Scum took this title in 2018, selling 250,000 copies in its first 24 hours and went on to shift 700,000 units in its first week.

Fall Guys has been the top-selling game on Steam for the last three weeks. That followed the title's beta being the most popular game on streaming platform Twitch in July.
