Sega's Sports Interactive studio has signed a new agreement with FIFA for Football Manager.
This multi-year deal gives the developer the license for some of the biggest competitions in the world, including the 2026 World Cup. Official kits for the final 48 competing teams are set to be included.
“Revealing this partnership with FIFA is an incredibly historic moment for the studio," Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson said.
“Heading into a World Cup year, revamping International Management and making it a much more feature-rich module for our players was important.
“To be able to do that with the support of FIFA with an official licence, giving us the tournament broadcast graphics and tournament kits in-game, is a real honour and something we’re delighted our fans will be able to experience next year.
“And this is just the start of our relationship – stay tuned for more to come in 2026 and beyond.”
Football Manager 26 is set to launch on November 4th. This marks the first release from Sports Interactive to be built on Unity rather than its own engine; last year's Football Manager 25 was cancelled due to a "variety of challenges".
