Games creation platform Roblox apparently attracted around 202 million people in April 2021.
That's according to metrics site RTrack, which claims that Roblox hit this record figure during the month. That's a 5.2 per cent increase on the 192 million active users that the RTrack claimed Roblox boasted during March, as well as a 38 per cent rise year-on-year.
To put that 202 million figure into context, Valve revealed in January 2021 that Steam had over 120 million monthly active users.
Since the start of 2020, Roblox has seen a massive increase in both users and revenue. In February 2020, the company was valued at $4 billion in a Series G funding round. Ahead of going public in March 2021, Roblox was valued at a massive $29.5 billion. By the end of its first day of trading, the firm hit a valuation of $38 billion. At the time of writing, Roblox's market cap is $38.3 billion having seen a nine per cent decline in stock price in the last five days.
Meanwhile, in July of last year, Roblox said that the total amount of money paid out to developers for 2020 would more-than double.
