The Sims 4 expansions have been downloaded over 30 million times

Electronic Arts revealed in its earnings conference call that The Sims 4 expansions have been downloaded over 30 million times.

Despite its age, The Sims 4 is a testament to the power of continued support and post-launch content. In Q1 2018, the life sim’s audience rose 35 per cent year-over-year.

The base Sims 4 game has sold around ten million copies, suggesting that the average player is purchasing three expansions.

There have been five full-size expansion packs for The Sims 4, with a sixth pack launching this month. Get Famous focuses on giving Sims aspirations of fame, from acting to becoming online influencers.

EA isn’t resting, either, with another three years of updates and support planned for The Sims 4.

Download numbers for The Sims 4 weren’t the only revelation made during EA’s conference call. The publisher announced that Titanfall developer Respawn plans to launch multiple games by the next holiday season.

Producer Grant Rodiek did tell PCGamesInsider.biz last year that The Sims 4 had around 200m monthly active users - not bad at all!
