Ambitious sci-fi game Star Citizen managed to raise over $1m in crowdfunding last week.
That's according to the website of developer Roberts Space Initiative, which shows that last calendar week the game raised $1,192,096 in the wake of a flashy new trailer and the launch of alpha 3.3.
That brings the total amount raised by the game to $195,973,280, at the time of writing.
The project managed to raise $34.91m in 2017, double the total amount gathered by video game Kickstarter campaigns for the year in total. Madness.
Star Citizen was originally slated for a 2014 launch following a lucrative 2012 crowdfunding campaign. It missed that release window and currently has no release date.
Don't worry, though, as the single-player portion - staring Mark Hamill - Squadron 42 might get a release date during December.
