We now have a release date for when we'll find out Star Citizen single player Squadron 42's release date

Cloud Imperium Games has rolled out a new trailer for the single player portion of its ambitious and totally-coming-out sci-fi title Star Citizen.

The video (below) features Hollywood stars Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, Henry Cavill and Mark Strong, as well as, um, a release date for the release date of the game.

The trailer closes with the revelation that CIG will be publishing a "full roadmap to Squadron 42's release in December."

There's no indication how far off the game is, but given that Star Citizen initially had a 2014 release date and is yet to come out in - yes- the year of our Lord 2018, it's unlikely that the company would allude to a launch window that far out.

But then again, Star Citizen and Squadron 42 don't really obey the regular laws in this games industry, having attracted a sizeable fanbase who don't seem to mind that these projects are still raking in absurd amounts of money with no indication of when they're actually going to come out.

Hello, yes, we'll see you in the comments section.
