Former staff from Colossal Order and Square Enix have founded a new studio called Day Off Interactive.
The venture has been established by Karoliina Korppoo, who has previously worked at the likes of Cities: Skylines maker Colossal Order and Rovio, and Square Enix, Fellow Traveller and Unity veteran Des Gayle, who is serving as head of production.
The rest of the core six-person team is made up of technical director Colman Humphrey, marketing veteran Jayne Robinson, studio director Ethan Grant and deputy studio director Karl Rabbitt.
Day Off is based in Ireland, though the team is distributed around the world. Currently it boasts 14 members of staff.
"Day Off Interactive's core values include innovation through simulation, sustainable business growth, and community connection, fostering a welcoming and trusting environment for dialogue and idea sharing," the company wrote.
"The team works 100 per cent remotely and has adopted the four-day work week, in keeping with the brand name."
