RPG Baldur's Gate 3 will come to Steam in Early Access later this year.
As announced by Hasbro at the New York Toy Fair, no gameplay footage will be shown until Larian Studios' segment at PAX East 2020 on February 27th.
Not only will Baldur's Gate 3 and a Dark Alliance remake be released this year, but Hasbro also plans on launching a new Dungeons and Dragons game each year until 2025.
When the game is fully released, it will be available on both Steam and GOG. However, there are currently no plans to bring it to the Epic Games Store.
Baldur's Gate 3 was announced in 2019 as an exclusive to Google's cloud streaming service, Stadia. It is the latest effort by IP owner Wizards of the Coast to make the most of the Dungeons and Dragons franchise.
The firm has also recently opened a brand new studio in Austin, Texas called Archetype. This is being headed up by BioWare vet James Ohlen, with the outfit attracting a wealth of talent from the Mass Effect and Dragon Age maker recently.
Baldur's Gate 3 is being developed by Larian Studios, best known for the Divinity: Original Sin games. Fellow RPG specialists Obsidian and InXile both pitched to work on this new entry in the popular series, too.
