CHARTS: Electronic Arts uses the force to take the top spot

Electronic Arts’ new Star Wars title takes the top spot in this week’s Steam chart.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launched last week on November 15th. EA has also taken eighth place in the Top Ten with the deluxe edition of Fallen Order. This is the first new title that the publishing giant as brought to Valve's platform since it decided to return last month

Xbox Game Studios is bringing its Halo Master Chief Collection to Valve’s storefront. Pre-orders have seen the series of games come in at No.2. Recently, it was confirmed that the new Halo TV series has entered production.

The Microsoft-owned studio has also claimed fourth place in this week’s Top Ten with Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.

It launched on Steam on November 14th - we caught up with the franchise’s creative director Adam Isgreen to learn why Microsoft is investing heavily in the series.

Another title that was released earlier this month is animal simulation game Planet Zoo. Frontier Developments’ new title sits at No.5

Ever present in the Steam chart is Rockstar’s law-defying game Grand Theft Auto V.

The final entry in the Steam chart is sports-management game Football Manager 2020. Sega and Creative assembly chose to be more green with the latest instalment in the series - the game’s packaging is 100 per cent recyclable.
