The publisher behind indie titles such as Gonner and Tormentor X Punisher Raw Fury has just completed a funding round, raking in a cool $600,000.

As part of this, Raw Fury has secured two new investors in Unity founder David Helgason and Rikard Lindström, who has previously invested in the Swedish tech scene, including Candy Crush giant King.

The round was led by Karl Magnus Troedsson, the founder of Loot Spawn, an investment firm based in Stockholm. Troedsson joined Raw Fury back in July 2016 as a board member.

That's not all either - the team at the indie publisher have also taken stakes in their company, led by Intel and Oculus veteran Callum Underwood, who joined Raw Fury earlier this year.

The cash raised here will be used to bolster the publishers efforts, as well as bring its portfolio from PC to console, something the company started this year with Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, it will be signing more games using the cash, as well as hire more people to the team.

The team is also planning a further, and bigger round, of funding in the future.

"In all honesty, it was either focus on bringing our games to consoles or using all the funds to buy a lifetime supply of spatulas (the board was near split on this and the pro-console/anti-spatula faction squeaked by with one additional vote)," the publisher wrote.

"We’ll see in the near future if we made the right decision."
