Dadum the Dice is a 3D tactical puzzle game created by solo indie game developer Pablo Picazo, and it's on its way to Steam in 2026. It previously took part in the Very Big Indie Pitch Barcelona, earlier this year, where it made it into the top three games of the show.
According to the developer, Dadum the Dice is an immersive advventure game, where you are able to guide a die through a number of charming, hand-crafted worlds by carefully and strategically using the number on each face to determine the dice's movement and actions. These turns become a strategy, where you need to make sure that you are rotating in a smart way, planning out your next attack, and outsmarting your enemies.
Although this game features a die, Dadum The Dice isn't all about luck or repeatively rolling. It's instead a modern isometric puzzle game that is built around smart mechanics. A combination of both curiosity and story will help you complete the game, driving you forward. As mentioned earlier, movement is determined by the face up of the die, allowing you to move that many spaces in that direction, but if you come to an enemy die then you will need to have the larger space claimed to defeat them!
Pablo Picazo, being a solo game developer, is also a musician, programmer, and has a background in cybersecurity. He has previously released Deer Journey, his first video game, and now has created something completely fresh and new, with it's own vastly-different story.
We are excited to see this game's PC release, and look foward to the potential of a console and mobile release in the future. For now, the game can currently be wishlist on Steam.
