Fallout Shelter has been downloaded 230m times

Post-apocalyptic management simulation title Fallout Shelter has been installed over 230 million times to date.

That's according to publisher Bethesda, which reported the milestone ten years after the game's initial release. Fallout Shelter made its debut on mobile platforms in June 2016, before coming to PC in July 2016. An Xbox One launch came in February 2017, before the title finally made its way to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in June 2018.

There's no breakdown as to how many installs were on individual platforms.

"Tons of content has been added to the game since 2015," Bethesda wrote.

"You've built Vaults, made lives (or chaos) for your dwellers, and embarked on thrilling quests, all while keeping the spirit of the wasteland alive and well.

"Just last year, we even added a touch of Hollywood glamour with characters from the Amazon Prime Fallout show joining the game, including the very exciting addition of Lucy and The Ghoul as unlockable vault dwellers! This update also introduced an entirely new questline with 8 new quests and locations, plus new themes, weapons and outfits featured in the show."
