Netflix vet Loombe joins Annapurna Interactive

Industry vet Leanne Loombe is joining Annapurna Interactive as its head of games.

That's according to The Hollywood Reporter, which says that she will be reporting into the company's president of interactive and new media, Hector Sanchez. Loombe joins from Netflix, where she spent over three years as VP and head of the streaming giant's external games business. Prior to that, she worked at Riot Games and Electronic Arts.

“I’m excited to build on Annapurna’s legacy as a home for developers pushing the boundaries of storytelling,” Loombe said.

Sanchez added: “Few leaders have Leanne’s breadth of experience across QA, publishing, and internal game development. She understands what it takes to make a good game from the inside-out, which is what makes her a great partner for our developers.”

Loombe joins at an interesting time in Annapurna's history. In September 2024, the entire Annapurna Interactive team left the company.
