Hitman developer IO Interactive is ending its partnership with mixed martial artist Conor McGregor.
The studio announced the news on Twitter in the wake of a woman who had accused the MMA fighter of rape winning their civil case against him. IO said that that it "cannot ignore" the implications of the court ruling.
McGregor appeared in Hitman's The Disruptor DLC.
"In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications," IO wrote.
"Consequently, we will begin removing all content featuring Mr. McGregor from our storefronts starting today."
