Palworld hits five million units sold in three days

Newly released survival title Palworld has shifted over five million copies in its first three days on sale.

That's according to developer Pocket Pair, which revealed the milestone on Twitter this morning (Monday, January 22nd). The studio said in a previous sales update – that time for four million copies – that at the time of writing, Palworld was selling 86,000 copies an hour.

At the time of writing, the game also has the highest concurrent playerbase of any title on Steam. It has 899,482 players right now, having hit a 24 hour peak of 1,291,967 concurrent users at 14:30 UTC yesterday.

This makes it the second highest concurrent user figure for a paid title on Steam ever, coming in behind Playerunknown's Battlegrounds' 3.2 million players, which it hit at the start of 2018.

Though Palworld has sold more than five million copies, it is also available in Xbox Game Pass, likely attracting a fair few players.

Palworld launched into Steam Early Access on January 19th.
