If all you want for Christmas is wanton destruction and some tactical tank trouble, then Wargaming has you covered across its popular World of Tanks franchise. PC, console and mobile players will all have a merry Christmas, as all three titles will be getting in on the fun starting December 1st.
Continuing its yearly tradition, this year's celebrity ambassador is footballer and actor Vinnie Jones, who is trading his role as Santa’s enforcer to become a commander in World of Tanks. He will be hosting a variety of missions, and players of World of Tanks PC and Modern Armor on consoles (PlayStation, Xbox) can even recruit the reputable hard man into their tank crew, and hear exclusive voice lines during battle.
Flagship title World of Tanks will play host to the Holiday Village, with a Premium Czechoslovakian light tank Pzw.39 awaiting anyone who enters their gates. Vinnie Jones will be waiting in the Headquarters to give out a host of missions and assignments, and completing them will unlock celebrity-inspired rewards such as three exclusive 2D styles, decals, and a special Old Reliable skin for the Cobra tank. Prime gaming members will also get a few special extras, in the form of two decals, a medal, and a special Paradox 2D style, with Steam players nabbing another 2D decal.
Console players of World of Tanks Modern Armor will be awash with rewards this year, with both an individual Earn Challenge and a Holiday Ops Community Event. Earth of these is stuffed with presents such as Boosters, themed cosmetics, Premium Time, and the rather intimidating Charlemagne heavy tank. If you are lucky, you can even grab yourself the exclusive Old Reliable premium tank.
Portable commanders in World of Tanks Blitz headline a ten-stage celebrity quest starring Vinnie Jones, with unique avatars, profile backgrounds, and collectables all styled after one of football's most bookable players. Finish all ten and you will grab yourself the Final Argument attachment, which will look great on the Cobra tank and its legendary camouflage, for the players lucky enough to win the holiday draw.
All of these events are ready to be your stocking stuffers starting December 1st, with World of Tanks and World of Tanks Modern Armor lasting until January 8th. Mobile players of World of Tanks Blitz will need to be a bit quicker, with the event expiring on December 20th.
