Wargaming opens new studios in Belgrade and Warsaw

World of Tanks firm Wargaming has set up two new European studios.

The company has opened new outfits in both Belgrade, Serbia and Poland's Warsaw. Wargaming now has eight studios in Europe. The former will focus on development and publishing, with Wargaming saying it will relocate staff from multiple locations. This outfit will be focused on World of Tanks and World of Warships.

The Warsaw location will be publishing-centric.

This comes in the wake of the World of Tanks giant pulling out of Russia and its native Belarus in the wake of the former's invasion of Ukraine.

"Warsaw and Belgrade were logical choices for these new locations, both are fast developing technology sectors with enormous potential," Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi (pictured) said.

"We look forward to working closely with both cities’ IT communities to build best-in-class game development and publishing units. Wargaming continues to move forward with big plans for the future. The Belgrade and Warsaw locations will be essential for accomplishing our goals."
