French publishing giant Ubisoft will hold its digital showcase on July 12th.
As announced on Twitter (below), the online-only event, titled Ubisoft Forward, will feature reveals, exclusive games news and more.
"Save the Date! Join us July 12th for Ubisoft Forward, a fully digital showcase with exclusive game news, reveals and more Stay tuned. #UbiForward," said Ubisoft.
A safe assumption would be that Assassins Creed Valhalla will make an appearance. The latest entry in the franchise was revealed in a live stream with artist Bosslogic. At the start of the month, the French firm released its first video for Valhalla.
In March, the ESA cancelled E3 due to the coronavirus. It also confirmed that a digital format would not replace the event. As a result, companies such as Ubisoft and Microsoft began to look at online alternatives.
However, other firms have chosen to take part in Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest. American publisher Electronic Arts will participate with a digital version of EA Play. Other organisations include Bandai Namco, 2K, Activision, Square Enix and more.
Meanwhile, Bethesda has opted out of online-only events.
