CHARTS: Red Dead Redemption 2 rustles Steam second place on launch

Open-world Western Red Dead Redemption 2 has debuted in the No.2 spot following its launch on Steam. 

Rockstar’s cowboy blockbuster first came to PC on November 5th, however, it came to Valve’s storefront on December 5th.

In third place, this week is GTFO, a four-player co-operative first-person shooter by 10 Chambers Collective. Currently, the game - which launched on December 9th - is in Early Access with a 10 per cent discount.

Stress Level Zero launched a new VR title for Steam on December 10th, Boneworks takes the No.4 spot on the Steam Chart. Just below the recently released title at No. 5 is Valves Index VR Kit, the hardware has continued its run within the Top Ten.

Transport Fever 2 by Good Shepherd Entertainment is in seventh place. The travel simulator was launched last week on December 11th, currently, the game can be purchased for 10 per cent off.

Ever present in the Steam chart is Rockstar’s law-defying title Grand Theft Auto V, this week it has maintained its place in the No.9 spot. Despite being six years old, the game continues to sell well, five million copies were sold between May 2019 and November 2019.

Closing out this week’s Top Ten is another released title, Hades by Supergiant Games. The hack and slash game entered Steam Early Access on December 10th following a debut on the Epic Games Store. Hades can be purchased for 20 per cent off.
