CHARTS: Grand Theft Auto V climbs to number one with 50 per cent off sale

Grand Theft Auto V moved three places to No.1 following a 50 per cent off sale.

Second and Third place are missing due to an error with the Steam charts, while this week’s No.4 spot goes to Survivor Pass 4: Aftermath for Playerunknown's Battlegrounds.

Klei Entertainment has a new entry in fifth place with Oxygen Not Included. Nier Automata, meanwhile, charts at No.6 with Square Enix and Platinum’s apocalyptical hack and slash title seeing a 33 per cent discount.

Last week Bethesda held five spots within the chart; this week that number drops to two. Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition continues to be the publisher's bestseller on Steam at No.7, despite no longer being part of a sale.

While Valves Index VR kit may have dropped from the Top Ten, its Index headset and controllers have entered the chart at No.8. Sega and Creative Assembly’s Total War: Three Kingdoms has clawed its way back into the list in ninth place.

The Steam charts have seen a shakeup, with over half of the previous week's titles dropping from the list altogether.

Here is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending August 3rd:

  1. Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar
  2. N/A
  3. N/A
