Metal Gear Survive developers leave hidden messages in the game

It sure looks like some of the developers of the recently-released Metal Gear Survive had some stuff they wanted to get off their chest.

As spotted by Twitter users Michael Yurko (below), the last names of a list of characters spell out the phrase 'KJP FOREVER'. KJP of course being short of Koji Pro, or Kojima Productions.

There's also reference to 'Bastard Yota' and 'Cunning Yuji' - these could be references to the game's director Yota Tsutsumizaki and producer Yuji Korekado respectively.

This, and indeed Metal Gear Survive, comes in the wake of what can only be described as a very messy break-up between Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and publisher Konami.

The auteur left Kojima Productions in 2015, only to be snapped up by Sony for a brand new Kojima Productions (keep up). It would seem that the love and support for Hideo Kojima is present both in the company as well as in the fanbase.

Incidentally, the game has launched to incredibly mixed reviews and poor sales; in the UK the Week One unit sales were 85 per cent below those of 2013's Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

SteamSpy currently pegs PC players at just below 200,000 owners; that's not great.
