Playerunknown's Battlegrounds exiting Early Access on December 20th

We finally have a release date for the 1.0 version of battle royale behemoth Playerunknown's Battlegrounds.

The title is going to be launching out of Early Access on December 20th, in just two weeks time. The 1.0 launch was announced last night in a trailer at the Game Awards (below).

As well as the game's date, the brand new desert map, which was revealed yesterday, was shown off with gameplay.

We were also keeping an eye out for up-to-date sales figures in the latest trailer - the game has sold 'more than 20m copies', which is pretty much where we were at last official announcement.

The desert map is available on the test server today, too.
