Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds surpasses 20m copies sold

The biggest game of 2017 keeps getting bigger; Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has sold more than 20m copies.

The announcement came from creative director Brendan Greene via Twitter (below), who said that the game passed the milestone over the weekend.

That means that the game has sold seven million copies in the last weeks; when Bluehole spun out Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds into its own company, PUBG Inc, the title had sold 13m copies. That was on September 29th.

The title is STILL accelerating in its sales. The game sold its first four million copies in three months and its second four million in two. It then sold two million copies in two weeks.

Now the game is selling more than a million copies each and every week.
