Thomas Andrén appointed new Ubisoft Massive MD

Ubisoft Massive has a brand new managing director in Thomas Andrén.

He joins from his role as chief operating officer at media production company Red Bee, where he had worked since 2016. Prior to that, he held leading roles at Ericsson and Swedish network SVT. His appointment at Ubisoft Massive comes in the wake of David Polfeldt stepping down as MD to go on a six-month sabbatical.

“I am thrilled to join Massive Entertainment,” Andrén said.

“The studio has delivered groundbreaking games for players and has continuously been at the forefront of the entertainment industry. I am proud to join the teams behind these powerful gaming experiences and excited about what we will achieve together.”

Ubisoft's chief studios operating officer Virginie Haas added: “Thomas is a very accomplished leader and his extensive experience guiding operations, shaping strategic business and product development, and managing teams within the online services and media sectors will aid him greatly in guiding Massive’s talented teams.”
