Double Fine’s former vice president of business development has joined Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Rice announced the news on Twitter (below), he left Psychonauts developer last month after it was purchased by Xbox Game Studios.
The future of the company was left in doubt following the acquisition.
At Sony, Rice will be the global head of indie accounts - he will be responsible for all independent developer and publisher accounts. On top of this, Rice will work to create new initiatives to aid indie companies worldwide.

“I’ll be managing all independent developer and publisher accounts and building new initiatives to support indies big and small from all over the world.
“Looking forward to being part of the next generation of great PlayStation games.”
