Valve has made tweaks on Steam that make it easier for developers to see what impact discounts have had on game sales.
In a post on Steamworks, the company wrote that it is giving studios more data for when their projects are on sale.
This includes the total amount of revenue that a game has generated over a particular discount period, how much money companies have made per project per day and the number of units sold. All of that is on top of how many times a company has run a particular discount.
All of this data is available all the way back to November 2021.
"This information is the same that you can find by looking at your sales and activations report in Steamworks, but here it is split out to align with the time frame for each of the past discounts you've run," Valve wrote.
"As the developer or publisher of a game, pricing and discounting is in your hands, so you may find this information useful when considering your future discounting opportunities."
