PC giant Valve has made some changes to how the store menu looks on Steam.
In a post on its website, the company revealed that it had rolled out these tweaks with the aim of providing a "more dynamic and personalised" experience. This includes combining the left column and blue bar, as well as making changes to how search works. Now users can see popular searches, as well as games they have recently looked up, tabs for different tags and genres. Finally, consumers can click for a more specific advanced search. ]
Browsing is now done from the top of the store page, while recommendations have been bundled together into one location.
Valve released a beta for this back in July.
"We redesigned the Steam store menu to offer a more dynamic and personalised experience, making it easier for players to browse the store and discover new games," Valve wrote.
"Updated organisation and layout make navigation and search more accessible, and now you'll find those options on more store pages. The search bar is also a little smarter, with personalised search and browsing suggestions, plus games you've recently searched for."
