Danish games firm IO Interactive isn't sure if it'll be publishing any future projects after the launch of MindsEye.
Speaking to IGN, CEO Hakan Abrak admitted that the release of Build A Rocket Boy's debut title was "tough". Pressed on whether this meant it would be launching other games on its own publishing label, IO Partners, the chief executive officer said it will see.
“Well, that was definitely tough, right? It was a tough reception. It wasn’t what they hoped for, and also what we didn’t hope for at IOI Partners," Abrak said.
"They’re working hard on turning that around to regain the trust of the gamers out there, and they have tons of potential and content they’re working on. So hopefully they’ll succeed with that in the future.”
He continued: “IO Interactive will publish our own games internally. IOI Partners? That remains to be seen.”
MindsEye launched in June in a rather broken state; the studio said it was "heartbroken" by the release. Since it has emerged that the company is set to make layoffs.
