Koei Tecmo's new CEO is Hisashi Koinuma

Japanese games firm Koei Tecmo has appointed Hisashi Koinuma as its new chief executive officer. 

He will be taking this position effective April 1st, 2025. Previously he was chief operating officer, as well as president and general manager of its entertainment division. 

The company is also splitting the company in two; Koei Tecmo Games and Koei Tecmo Corproate Finance. 

"Our group aims to become the world’s number one digital entertainment company under the spirit of ‘creativity and contribution’," Koei Tecmo told shareholders.

"We have been gradually preparing for the transition to the next generation of management through discussions in the Nomination and Compensation Committee.

"To achieve further growth and profitability for our group, we have decided to implement a new management structure starting from the fiscal year 2025."
