GOG posts $2.2m loss for the year to date

CD Projekt's GOG.com retail division has posted a PLN 4.8 million ($1.1 million) net loss for the three months ending September 30th, 2021.

Per the firm's financial results for this period, the company claims to have brought in PLN 41.8 million ($10.2 million) in sales revenue for the period, while in the nine months to date it has clocked up a PLN 9.2 million ($2.2 million) loss. The previous year, GOG.com had managed to bring in 5.7 million PLN ($1.4 million) during this period.

Overall, revenue at CD Projekt was up by 38 per cent year-on-year, hitting PLN 144 million ($34.7 million), though net profits dipped by 30 per cent to PLN 16.3 million ($3.9 million). This – according to CFO and VP Piotr Nielubowicz – is related to the cost of fixing and supporting Cyberpunk 2077 in addition to expenses related to work on new projects.

CD Projekt recently announced its plan to acquire American studio The Molasses Flood.
