Ubisoft renames Gods & Monsters to Immortals Fenyx Rising

French publishing giant Ubisoft has given its upcoming IP Gods & Monsters a new name.

In a post on Twitter, the company confirmed that the title was now going to be called Immortals Fenyx Rising. Furthermore, we'll be finding out more about the project at the second Ubisoft Forward broadcaster, which is set for September 10th.

The company revealed the new IP at E3 2019 with a trailer that closed up its showcase. The game was initially set for a February 25th, 2020 release date, which it has now obviously missed. It's being developed by Ubisoft Quebec.

A demonstration build for the game was also accidentally uploaded to Google's Stadia cloud streaming service in June of this year under the placeholder name Orpheus. It seems that this was the E3 2019 demo build.

At the time, executive producer Marc-Alexis Cote confirmed that the project wasn't called Gods & Monsters anymore.
