Itch.io #BlackLivesMatter bundle shoots past $5m goal

The Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality on Itch.io has surpassed its initially $5m goal.

At the time of writing, the offering has made more than $5.3m, passing its target last night UK time. 507,232 people have bought the bundle with an average contribution of $10.54. That's double the minimum $5 that you have to spend to be able to access the package.

The bundle now features 1,304 games from over 840 developers, with indie hits Night in the Woods and Celeste joining the line-up of titles included.

The Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality was launched following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

100 per cent of the proceeds are being donated equally to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and the Community Bail Fund.

The bundle raised over $2.3m within its first few days before closing in on its $5m yesterday (Thursday, June 11th).
