A new Witcher title is reportedly set to release in the wake of the eagerly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077.
That's according to Eurogamer.PT, which attended a briefing by developer and publisher CD Projekt RED, during which Adam Kiciński (pictured) said that the firm has created a concept for the game. Much like previous entries in the series, it is going to be a single-player experience, but it is not going to be the fourth numbered entry in the fantasy story.
Kiciński also said that CD Projekt RED was now divided into three development teams following Cyberpunk 2077's launch. One will be working on that title's online mode, while a second is going to be handling DLC. The third will be starting pre-production on this brand new Witcher game.
News of a new Witcher game comes in the wake of the hugely popular Netflix show, which helped bring CD Projekt's market value north of $8bn. The Polish studio has signed a new agreement with Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski after previously having had a number of differences in the past. This, of course, hinted that there were other Witcher games on the way.
The Witcher 3 made $50m in revenue between October 2018 and February 2020.
