There’s just a couple of weeks to go until Big Screen Gaming takes place in London (January 20th and 21st), and we’re continuing our daily track rundowns.
Big Screen Gaming will make its debut in London after a successful outing in Helsinki, and is the successor to previous years’ PC Connects. It’s the partner event to Pocket Gamer Connects London, and it covers all the latest trends in the business of PC and console games.
We continue our rundown with the Codeshop: Design & Development track, sponsored by Jagex. It follows the Digital Discovery track, and offers technical talks and expert insight into core development.
14:00: We start the Codeshop track off with a session led by Criterion’s Steve Cuss, as he shows his approach to producing AAA games by accommodating an increase of scale in people, process and technology.
14:20: Black Sail Games’ Dan Olthen follows with insights into how studios can keep themselves alive and grow even when things don’t go their way.
14:40: Greenlight Games’ Dean Day provides his points as to whether you should port or publish your games to the Switch, and how you should go about it.
15:00: Wingman AI AGents John O’Malia’s session focuses on deploying voice-control of game characters in your games.
15:20: Irdeto’s Michail Greshishchev reveals some of the top clever cheats, including on big Esports titles, and detail why they weren’t detected, as well as disclose hard facts and figures into how destructive cheating is to the industry.
15:40: Deck13 Interactive’s Jan Klose wraps up the Codeshop track on how to merge strong world building with actual gameplay and production in order to create a new IP.
This is just a small teaser of all the content we have to offer of the full six-track lineup at Big Screen Gaming, which is also joined by partner events Pocket Gamer Connects and Blockchain Gamer LIVE!
