Get your game to market with the State of Play track at Big Screen Gaming London 2020

There are only a couple of weeks to go until Big Screen Gaming lands in London (January 20th and 21st), so the time’s ripe to start our rundown of the six packed tracks.

Big Screen Gaming is the successor to previous years’ PC Connects, with added console content. It’s the partner event to Pocket Gamer Connects where you can discover the latest trends in the business of PC and console games.

We begin our rundown with our State of Play track, sponsored by Jagex. It kicks off Big Screen Gaming’s debut in London. The gaming market is a rapidly changing space, and it may seem hard at times to keep on top of all the trends. This track provides you with everything you need to know to successfully get your game to market.

January 20th

10:00: Jagex’s Melissa Bachman-Wood starts the day’s sessions, providing her expert industry knowledge and seven simple secrets of successful studio leadership, and some really difficult ones to get right.

10:20: Newzoo’s Guilherme Fernandes follows with a session which analyses the current state and latest trends in the games industry, and what they predict for 2020.

10:40: Next, Super Evil Megacorp’s Taewon Yun looks at distribution vs content, noting that the last 10 years can be categorised as the era of distribution, and that the tide is starting to turn. He will also discuss what this new trend means for developers.

11:00: To wrap up the State of Play track, ICO Partners’ Thomas Bidaux leads a session on crowdfunding and games, looking at the recent trends on crowdfunding platforms, the opportunities they offer, and the projects most likely to benefit from it.

This is just a taste of what we have to offer of the full six track lineup at Big Screen Gaming, which is also joined by partner events Pocket Gamer Connects and Blockchain Gamer LIVE!

Check out the full 25-track conference schedule to see the full range of impressive speakers attending. Remember all these speakers, and the people who have come to see them, will be available to meet through the free Pitch & Match meeting system.
