Superhot VR brings in $2 million in seven days

Over a seven day period, Superhot VR grossed $2 million in revenue.

The milestone was announced on Twitter by developer Superhot Team's director of special projects, Callum Underwood, who said that the revenue had come from a variety of platforms.

It's likely that the title saw a boost in sales due to people receiving or buying VR headsets over the Christmas period. Superhot, along with Beat Sabre, is widely regarded as one of the strongest titles on the market for virtual reality at the moment.

"Superhot VR has grossed over two million dollars on all platforms in the past seven days alone. Thank you players," said Underwood.

As of April 2019, Superhot VR had sold over 800,000 copies.

The standard version of the slo-mo shooter has shifted more than two million copies as of March last year, 40 per cent of those sales were on PC.

Last year, We caught up with business developer Tomasz Kaczmarczyk, he discussed how the studio managed to shift so many copies and what was next for the developer.
