The PlayStation classic Dino Crisis could be getting a remake.
An email has been sent to Resident Evil Ambassadors - as seen on Reddit - in it, a new limited offer has been announced: "we have invitations to a playtest session of our unannounced title."
While there is nothing in the email to indicate a Dino Crisis remake, Bloody Disgusting reports that Capcom has registered a new trademark for its popular PlayStation title. The company has claimed that it is looking at rebooting "dormant IPs."
The Japanese firm did announce the Resident Evil 3 remake at the last State of Play for 2019. Resident Evil 2 was the highest-reviewed game on Metacritic in 2019, it was also up for Game of the Year at The Game Awards.
Given the popularity and critical acclaim Capcom has received for its remakes, it is likely that we will see a Dino Crisis remake sometime in the future.
Alongside the unnamed game, a new ranking system was introduced to the Ambassador's Programme - the higher an ambassador's rank, the more likely they are to get selected for limited offers.
Ranks can be improved by completing ambassador activities.
