Hipster Fortnite game Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has sold 10m copies in last 18 months

Battle royale title Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has shifted 10m units in the last year-and-a-half.

That's according to industry analyst Daniel Ahmed from Niko Partners on Twitter (below), who says that across PC and console the title has sold 60m copies to date. That's 10m more than the 60m that developer and publisher PUBG Corp announced it had shifted back in June 2018.

At the end of 2017, when the game moved from Early Access to a 1.0 release on PC, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds had sold 30m units. There's no indication what the break down between that 60m figure is the PC version and Xbox One and PS4 editions.

The game has seen something of a dip in its userbase, but the battle royale title is still one of the most popular releases on Steam consistently.
