PUBG's average monthly users has dropped 82 per cent from peak

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds' average monthly user figure has dropped 82 per cent from its all-time high.

As shown on Reddit - using data from steamcharts.com - over the past four weeks, the average monthly user figure for PUBG Corp’s title was 288,848. However, when the game was at its peak audience in January 2018 it had 1,584,886 users. As of June 2018, 400 million people have taken to the games’ battlefield.

For a whole year Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds kept its active player-base above one million - just days later in September 2018 the number finally dipped below the one million users threshold.

In comparison to its competition, PUBG’s numbers are low. Epic Games’ Fortnite boasted 8.3 million concurrent players at its peak in November 2018, an impressive improvement from the 3.4 million users it had in February of that year.

In September 2018, over 78 million users logged in to play Fortnite.
