CHARTS: Destiny 2 Shadowkeep pre-orders take No.1 spot as Bungie brings game to Steam

Pre-orders for Destiny 2's latest DLC take the No.1 spot in the Steam charts as Bungie prepares to bring its sci-fi RPG shooter to Valve's platform.

Shadowkeep is set to roll out on Steam tomorrow, with the Digital Deluxe version of the expansion pack taking the top spot in the charts. This edition includes the base game, the aforementioned DLC as well as a bunch of extra goodies. Pre-orders for the regular SKU of Shadowkeep charted at No.6.

Second place goes to new Bandai Namco IP Code Vein, a property that appears to combine the Japanese publishing giant's success with anime games and the Dark Souls series in a hardcore action game that's reminiscent of FromSoftware's hit formula. The Deluxe version of this new title takes fifth place, too. Oh, and Code Vein also charts in eighth place, which might be a regional SKU or an error on Valve's data.

Meanwhile, pre-orders for Frontier Developments' Planet Zoo charts at the No.3 spot. GIven the Cambridge-based developer and publishers success in recent years with management titles including Planet Coaster, Screamride and last year's Jurassic World Evolution, we imagine it's fair to say this zoo management game is sure to be a strong seller.

Valve's Index VR headset was the seventh most-purchased item on the Steam storefront last week, while indie developer Nolla's title Noita taking ninth place following its September 24th release.

Meanwhile, battle royale progenitor Playerunknown's Battlegrounds drops from fifth place to No.10 in this week's charts.

Here is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending September 28th:

1. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Digital Deluxe Edition, Bungie (P)
2. Code Vein, Bandai Namco
3. Planet Zoo, Frontier Developments (P)
4. MISSING
5. Code Vein Deluxe Edition, Bandai Namco
6. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Bungie (P)
7. Valve Index VR Kit, Valve
8. Code Vein, Bandai Namco
9. Noita, Nolla Games
10. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, PUBG Corp
