Experimental Steam Labs feature the Interactive Recommender has seen 10,000 games added to users’ wishlists.
Valve added the Interactive Recommender to Steam Labs on July 11th 2019 after getting feedback from Steam users that the platform needed better tools to find new games for players to enjoy.
The Interactive Recommender is designed to recommend games based on user history and playtime, with suggestions varying from triple-A titles to more obscure indie games.
New components continue to be added to the experimental feature, with users now able to choose to exclude recently played games. A tag selection tool to further aid recommendations is currently being looked at.
"We've received really positive feedback since launching the Interactive Recommender,” ready an update from Valve.
“We've heard from many of you that the Interactive Recommender is helping you find interesting games, and we also see this reflected in our early data.
"Furthermore, we're especially pleased to see that users are being exposed to a broad range of titles. In fact, nearly 10,000 different games have been added to wishlists from the Interactive Recommender page so far."
