Dinosaur Early Access game Ark: Survival Evolved might have launched out of Steam’s alpha platform, but developer Wildcard says there is work yet to be done.
Speaking to PC Gamer, studio co-founder and co-creative director Jesse Rapczak was asked about Ark's launch out of Early Acccess, with the developer saying that though leaving Early Access is a milestone for the project, work will continue for some time.
"You know, it feels weird because we still plan to work on the game," Rapczak said.
"So, it's not this big 'OK, we're done!”
He continued: "While [launching out of Early Access] feels good, we still feel like we got work to do."
Ark: Survival Evolved was released into Early Access in June 2015, and left the programme on August 29th. Part of the extra work the team is handling right now is the Aberration expansion pack, which is set to launch next month, with further content coming in 2018.
When the game launched at the end of last month, there was a glitch by which users could refund the game on Steam no matter how long they had owned the game or played it. This has since been fixed.
