Valve fixes Ark: Survival Evolved refund glitch

Valve fixes Ark: Survival Evolved refund glitch

After several years in Early Access, Studio Wildcard has finally ‘properly’ released dinosaur survival title Ark: Survival Evolved on Steam.

But there was an issue with the launch: players could refund the title no matter how long they had spent playing the game or how long ago they had purchased it.

One user posting on Redditas spotted by the good folks over at PC Gamer – refunded the title after 30 hours played, having bought it in December 2015.

Steam’s refund policy normally only allows consumers to get their money back on a game if the title has been played for less than two hours, or if it has been purchased in the last 14 days.

Valve has now fixed the issue.

Ark: Survival Evolved launched in June 2015, and finally was released out of Early Access yesterday, August 29th.
