Five new faces at Sumo Digital

Sheffield-based developer Sumo Digital has made five new senior hires

Joining as CFO is David Wilton, who is to report directly to CEO Carl Cavers. There’s a new portfolio director in Gary Dunn, Jim Woods comes on board as senior development director, Scott Kirkland joins as development director, while Sumo’s new studio design director is one Martin Connor.

Furthermore, co-founder Paul Porter has been promoted to MD.

“Adding this level of expertise and experience further strengthens the team as we continue to grow and build our world-class studios,” he said.

Dunn added: “Having worked with Sumo for over a decade, it was an easy decision to join the team as it prepares for explosive growth across their studios in the UK and India.”

As if all that wasn’t enough, the developer revealed that it was expanding into new office space at both its Sheffield and Nottingham locations.

Sumo is rumoured to be eying up an IPO with a valuation of £150m.
