Mobile data firm AppMagic moves into PC analytics

Mobile research company AppMagic is dipping its toe into the world of PC.

The company is rolling out Steam Analytics, which will cover over 130,000 games and pieces of DLC on Valve's platform. Users will be able to see revenue and download stats, as well as active users, average daily player time, daily CCU, followers and price info.

AppMagic says it will be expanding its coverage of Steam in the first quarter of 2026, too. This functionality will include regional user activity, wishlist stats and ratings.

“PC gaming has long lacked the kind of structured, accessible data that mobile developers rely on every day,” AppMagic CEO Max Samorukov said.

“With this launch, we’re taking a big step toward changing that and giving studios a clearer, cross-platform view of their opportunities.”

AppMagic raised $3 million in funding in 2024; this was to introduce new platform features.
