Australian industry vets found new publisher Midnighters

Australian games industry veterans have set up a brand new publisher called Midnighters.

The venture has been set up by co-directors Jacob Vincent, Zea Wolfe, Jair McBain and Aaron Oak.  Vincent has worked at Funselektor and Wymac Gaming Solutions, while Wolfe is a veteran of Cult of the Lamb maker Massive Monster, as well as Bohemia and RocketWerkz. McBain, meanwhile, has worked stints at Wymac, Free and Dinosaur Polo Club, and Oak has spent time at Good Shepherd, Funselektor and Big Fan Games.

Midnighters is going to be offering publishing and production support services.

“We created Midnighters as especially in recent years we have found that many developers require a partner that not only helps them ship games, but assists them to develop their titles and wider business realistically and sustainably—with the current industry climate in mind," Vincent said.

"By offering a tailored production support and publishing model, we are able to meet developers where they are."

Wolfe added; “The typical publishing model doesn’t always meet the needs of independent developers. With our background as artists, designers and engineers ourselves, we aim to offer a tailored approach that supports developers in doing what they do best. We are driven by a deep understanding of what it feels like to be in their shoes."
