Developer Aspyr has released an update removing "unauthorised AI-generated content" in the remastered version of Tomb Raider 4-6.
In a post on its support page – as spotted by Time Extension – the studio said it was rolling out a hotfix for the game's second patch, removing "AI voiceover content". Aspyr isn't specific about what was removed, but it's safe to assume that this is related to the complaint brought by Françoise Cadol, who provided voice acting for Lara Croft in the French version of the games.
"A Hotfix for our most recent patch has just been released to address unauthorised AI generated content," Aspyr wrote.
"We've addressed this issue by removing all AI voiceover content, while retaining the improvements made in the previous update.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please reach out to our customer support site with any issues."
Cadol accused Aspyr of using AI to replicate her voice in Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered without her consent earlier in September.
