NDreams vet Tamsin O'Luanaigh founds new advisory studio Wise Cat

The co-founder of VR specialist Tamsin O'Luanaigh has founded a new venture, Wise Cat Strategy.

This is an advisory outfit that is designed to help games studios and other businesses have good working environments. It follows 20 years as chief people officer at NDreams. Tamsin O'Luanaigh  departed the company in December 2024.

Over her career, she has received a lifetime achievement award from Women in Games, the GamesIndustry.biz Best Places Talent Development Award and the 2024 award for Talent Development at Develop:Star in 2024.

“I’ve witnessed first-hand the positive impact that comes from a commitment to building supportive and transparent People & Culture strategies, yet there’s a significant portion of employers in the gaming industry who still lack clear frameworks," she said.

“Many recognise the importance of creating an inclusive workplace but have no idea where to even start. Scaling a game studio is rarely linear. People challenges don’t come with neat labels. You might be navigating team burnout, struggling to hire right, or wondering how to scale your culture before it slips away. That’s where Wise Cat comes in. We don’t just drop in with off-the-shelf solutions. We partner with you to diagnose what’s really going on - then design the path forward, and solve the real challenges most game studios face as they grow; with clarity, not chaos.”
