Elden Ring spin-off Nightreign was the highest grossing game on Steam last week.
The title shot to No.1 following its May 30th release date. So far, the game has sold north of 3.5 million copies; the fact it's a purely multiplayer game might have helped boost sales if groups of friends were all buying to play together. Pre-orders for Nightreign were also the sixth highest grossing game on Steam last week, showing a huge groundswell of excitement. And there's the small matter of Elden Ring itself being a huge success.
Counter-Strike 2 has to settle for second place, while Valve's Steam Deck hardware rose up one spot to third week-on-week.
Pre-orders for hack and slash title Stellar Blade came in at No.4 ahead of its June 11th release. The game made its debut on PlayStation 5 in April 2024 and sold over one million copies within its first month on sale.
Racing title F1 25 has made its debut at No.5 following its May 30th release; the fact that Formula One has seen new popularity in recent years has no doubt helped sales.
Helldivers 2 dropped one spot to sixth, coming in ahead of Marvel Rivals, which returned to the Top Ten in seventh possibly due to a new game mode. Chill RPG Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time dropped six places to eighth; since its release, the title has sold over 500,000 copies.
The Last of Us Part 1 returned to the Top Ten in ninth thanks to a 50 per cent discount – though buzz, positive or negative, around the TV adaptation's second series probably contributed.
Rounding off the Top Ten is beloved RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which returned to the charts last week.
