Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has sold over 3.3m copies

The recently-released Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has shifted over 3.3 million copies to date.

That's according to the game's official Twitter account, which announced the milestone 33 days after the title's release date. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 came out on April 24th.

"Seriously. As of today," developer Sandfall wrote. "We couldn’t make that up.

"Another entry on the long list of surreal moments that your support has made real. Thank you all."

After this success it's perhaps unsurprising that Sandfall is looking to the future and already eying up another project. It's less clear what this will be, however.

"There will be another video game, for sure," COO and producer François Meurisse told GamesIndustry.biz. "I can't wait to dig more into the ideas we already have for the next game.

"Plus the team has grown up, has acquired new skills throughout production," he says. "Many of them were junior when we started. We learned to work together. So I can't wait to get to the next project, because we'll start from a more efficient position than when we started the company five years ago. And that [comes] with higher expectations as well, so it will be challenging. But I can say that we have – and Guillaume in particular has – great ideas for the next game."
